Day 4

It is funny how we, human beings, develop the sense of affection towards an inanimate object. A child cries at night for her ‘blankie’, a musician would talk to his guitar. It is indeed a puzzle how our mind works. Naina missed the comfort of her room, the way it smelled of lavender and the rug she laid on hiding under the bed. She missed hugging her teddy at night. She wondered if she would be able to part with those things that held so close to her heart. Drawing courage from within, she took the step towards what few days back seemed so mundane and now was lifetimes apart. With heavy footsteps she entered what was once her room.
